PERFORMING arts students from a city college showcased Shakespeare's famous comedy Twelfth Night in the historic Peterborough Museum.

Peterborough Regional College performed on Thursday with the added bonus of finding out if they had qualified to perform at the National Student Drama Festival (NSDF).

Selectors from NSDF observed the performance to give feedback and advice.

The National Student Drama Festival is a week-long celebration of theatre, giving people the opportunity to attend workshops and discussions covering all aspects of theatre and performance.

If the performance is selected, then it will be seen by 100 professionals and 650 students from all over the UK.

Co-ordinator and lecturer at Peterborough Regional College Lee Griffin said: “Usually the NSDF selection staff see around 120 shows all over the UK, including universities and drama schools. Only 12 shows are selected for the drama festival so if the students production is selected, it will be a fantastic achievement.”
