Exam term is fast approaching – which means no fun until the middle of June. For most people, May Week is the pay-off for dealing with this hideousness. Not for me. Sure, you could go on a series of decadent nights out, a Ball or two. But the combination of massive expenditure and colossal effort to look presentable isn’t really my cup of tea.

A BRAND new rock and pop music festival is taking place in North Wales this month.
Y Ffin, which is translated as The Edge, will feature live music performances at the Recreational Sports Ground, Mold, on July 25 and 26.
Birmingham’s Supersonic festival is set to double the number of international visitors this year by taking inspiration from Barcelona’s Sonar Festival.
Now in its seventh year, Supersonic – which runs from July 24-26 at the Custard Factory – is expecting 5,000 people, 80 per cent of whom will come from outside the region.
